Can you use the new Shay Metal Gear Holder and move your gears and motor from a plastic gear holders?

Would like too as my screw holes on my plastic gear holders are breaking.

Have 2 Shays to convert and don’t want to buy new complete motor blocks.

The axles and gears might fit, but the plastic cover has different screw pattern. Do they also sell the cover?

Doesn’t look like they have the covers in stock.

Was hopping the old 2nd gen plastic covers would fit.
