      Aristocraft Victorian Station

Just acquired a like new Victorian station with lights and smoke. I believe it is 18v ac/dc but not sure and can’t find a definitive answer on line. Does anyone know?

Ted their parts diagram doesn't show one , it does show a light though it is probably something some one added I would start out with 18 volts and drop down from there and see how it does, Bill

      Light bulb A-4

Under a roof section the bulb is mentioned as is running the wire down through hole in floor. ... bottom of page 2.

Any external through the floor/base opening?

I'd start at 5v and work my way up to 18v. My thinking is a 5v rectifier and a 6v bulb.

Thanks guys. I have found others for sale and they too have a pot belly stove with a smoking stack up through the roof so it seems they made a couple different versions. Mine has the original lightbulb plus two others that were added. Someone added two tiny on/off slide switches just inside the opening door but never finished wiring it all. The two added bulbs say 18volts on them and I found some info on the Aristo steel caboose that mentions the smoke stack is designed to run on Pulse width control so it has maximum voltage at all times so I assume that would be around 18volts? It seems that the original intention of the previous owner was to wire it all on one feed with the two switches controlling lights and smoke. I will get some pictures posted. It seems to be a nice robust building and I don’t see how it could be considered 1/29 as it appears at least a big as my 120.3 buildings judging by door and windows. So I guess my question still is can AC be used like the Accessories tap on a transformer or do I need to run DC? That is what I’m still trying to figure out. I did test the lights with a 12.3 volt lipo battery and the original bulb supplied by aristo was slightly dim. So were the other add on Ones. I didn’t try 5he smoke stack yet but will using a small LGB transformer. More to come.

finished up wiring the station. Added a old style RC servo plug to the end of the added interior roof lights so I can easily remove the roof. Wired in both switches and added leads. The lights work perfect and so does the smoke but the smoke diminishes when the lights are on at the same time. I have to turn the LGB power pack up to full to get strong smoke.

I have the same one as Ted for sale (Aristo 71000) but there is no smoke unit or hole in the roof for one.  Looks like it was called the Aristo delton.    I also have the Xmas station (7100C) which is red and green and has the smoke.  Both have the single light.

The Aristo Buildings are nice but if it is going outside try to keep it in a shady spot, the sun fades them quickly.

Krylon UV clear helps but they are easily repainted and repaired.

I think I may save the 3 stations figured out.

The original was called Delton-Aristocraft and did not have the smoke option but does have a 14 volt light above the front door.

Then Aristo added the smoke stove/stack in the next station.

Then Aristo made the C version C being Christmas and it has the stove option.

So due to the Delton reference can one assume the original mold was Delton?

I have a 18v AC bell transformer that I hooked up to the station and all works great. I used black silicone and ran beads all along the joints to prevent light from showing through any cracks. It’s a great lookin, like ne building and only cost me $25!
