where to find these roof-sheets?

in the challenge thread by John P. i saw roof sheets used.

but as he stated to have them bought from a company going out of businesss…

… my question: does anybody know, where to find these sheets? under what name?

for clarification, what roof sheats i mean, i shamelessly stole a pic from John.

here:

Not sure as they are the same but Plastruct has them

Try Plastruct, Norm.

https://plastruct.com/shop/plain-and-patterned-sheet/ps-116/

Or Ozark Miniatures under Precision Products

https://ozarkminiatures.com/collections/1-2-scale/products/spanish-roman-tile-roof

Hobbylinc also has them.

thank you all.

i see some minor import in my future…

Korm, fer christ’s sake, don’t even think about buying any. Let me know what you need and I’ll send you however much you want. Heck, the fellas here have sent me plenty of stuff, now it’s my turn!!

oh!

that sounds very good!

thank you very much!

i will see, if i can strike a deal with my importer, that he accepts, that you send something to him (his US direction) and brings it in the next container.

sending it directly over here would be prohibitive with your postage prices.

i will message you, when i know something.

Ozark Miniatures did sell the Precision Products line of 3D embossed 15 x 15 sheets but it isn’t listed on their website as of today. Great product line. Hope it isn’t gone.

thank you.

i found one. Spanish/Roman tiles.

Paul, they still do. It’s listed under Building Matrials: 3DPlastic Veneer 1/2" scale.

I don’t think they call it precision products any more.

Yep. That’s the place! I think veneer is a better name anyway - they sure weren’t precision when one end would not match up with the other! These sheets do quite well outside. I’ve had issues with the Plastruct sheets bubbling in the hot sun, but no issues at all with the “Precision” products sheets at all. For both, make sure you put a good UV resistant paint on them - I’ve had good luck with the sample sizes found at Home Depot (NOT Lowes!) or the Sophisticated Finishes line.

Glad to hear they still sell it. I have been using Omni Stick glue with it. Holds up really well. I’d be interested in what other glues people have had success with over time outdoors on the Precision sheets. A nice finished project and then a glue failure is not fun.

Looked at the website , I missed where it says what the size of each sheet is. Are they all a common size?

edited to say, OOPS I see Korm says they are 15”x15”

Well Greg I must have used more than I thought because I don’t have tons left. I have one two-pack of 7 1/2" by 12" sheets. You’re welcome to them of course and the incomplete sheets I have if you like. Some already painted, ha! The manufacturer is JTT Architectural Model Parts, out of California. Here’s the website with the tiles (Caboose Hobbies must have been a distributor for them):
