      Next up is Bergs.

      He needs a clean-up.

Now the abandon one just needs some pigeons roosting in it.

I don't know if you remember Mac McCalla or not, but he used to do weathering seminars for Badger Air Brushes. His big thing was pigeon poop all over everything. He's take a perfectly good, brand new engine and when he was done it looked ready for the scrap heap..............

Nice job on Mancos, Ken. If it were me, I would rebuild that run down structure on the backside of the coaling tower that is shown in the last few photos  Just sayin’

      Hey Ken,

      .

Excellent work and documentation on the rebuild.  I think the abandoned structure looks great, also.  Thansk for sharing.

On to the next building. Since all Bergs needed was a paint job on the roof, I'll forgo showing a dark gray flat roof.

The Depot in Mancos was showing it's age so that is on the work bench now. The roof was all chipped up so that got a scrubbing with steel wool and a new paint job. Touched up the paint on the Depot itself and while I had the platform roof off, decided to make a change to it.

I liked the way the roof on Porter turned out so I decided to try it out on this one.

      Test fit.

Got this roof thing fairly close to being done.

Still in the test fit stage, but I think it'll work.

Made up some new signs too, since the old ones were getting kinda raggedy lookin.

      Back out on the layout.............

Clarke's Emporium will be next. The roof on that one is a mess.

Thanks, Bill.  The stuff on the over hang roof is. It's a lot more flexible than the Precision Products roofing on the station itself. It also looks more realistic. It comes in 7"x 24" and 7"x 12" sheets. Those are 24" sheets.  I've only had some on a building for a few years, but it seems to hold up just fine.

The pine needles make great mulch, the sticks are  PITA. But the leaf blower makes short work of them.

Weather beaten is right. That structure been outside for at least 10 years. It's original location was near the house when That area of Mancos was expanded.

Those are great looking buildings Ken.

I had to rebuild one of my buildings that looked like yours. It went under the saw to cut off 2 inches of rot and it was replaced with PVC wood.  The back section of the building was cut off and a new one built but what to do with the junk.  I decided to cobble it together into a open front depot and then I set it on fire and let it burn enough to give it that charred out look.  The bosses inspected the burned out remains and it was not determined whether it was arson or accident.   You could do the same with your old building.
