      Lookin' like you're having a great railroad'en  time   :)

Heat wave said to be out east,  but I sees you all are taking advantage of the shade whenever possible !

      doug c

p.s  when I attended BTS 2003(?) and then toured a bit, I was exposed to some extreme heat which nearly knocked me down for good,  so I'm no fan of anything over 24c   !

      Fred,

it has been an enjoyable group of days. I met a number of enjoyable people who really enjoy gathering to share a common interest. Friendships seem to abound  and the welcoming was hearty. This has been a wonderful start to a too short vacation. Please thank the group again for the kindnesses they've shown allowing me to participate.

      Dave

PS; I'll tell Russell your, you're, you are not as hardheaded/stubborn/obstinate (pick one) as we think you are

He was playing yard master at Craig Leigh(forgive the spelling) when  towards the end of the day I walked around to get a pic of the young visitor to the railroad and he had just removed his cap to wipe his brow. I asked that he allow me such a rare treat as to photograph the moment as some would really enjoy the sight. I guess the heat had gotten to him more than I thought it may have because he readily agreed to the proposal and I wasted no time preserving the moment

It was another great "American Invasion"!  I can't believe I've been able to participate in so many of these.  Sure, it was HOT, but it was worth it.  I thank everyone for letting us join in.  The IPP&WRR maintains its fine quality track work and efficient operating schedule.  It is a very unique railroad to always have an influx of new operators and yet maintain the quality and enjoyment of the railroad.  Videos and pictures are flying through the magic of smoke and mirrors and so take the time to watch and check Mike's blog.  Get it on your calendar now, its only a little over 11 months, until we get the chance to do it again.

      Jof John LeForestier, Pat Brewer

The first picture is of Stu Moxley, with the top of the chimnia in front

The second picture is of Pat Brewer, and John LeForestier (Le Cuff-Chuff)

The third picture is Nicol Cheret, and I think, Bernie Goodman, working a train at Ironwood

The fourth picture is overlooking Glen Hammond, a bit of Nelson Yard, and Bell, with Mike Hamer (Of Mike's Blog fame) Chris Lyon, Paul Anderson, and two others.

The fifth picture is too dark to describe, but is in the shade under the canopy (The summer board room, and "Fun Centre")

The sixth picture is of Mike Hamer (Dispatcher) in the RTC control centre

The seventh picture is showing Paul Anderson, working in Nelson Yard (Paul is yard master)

The eighth picture is a fine portrait of Lawrence Watkins, the NG Roadmaster (RailOps) with the locomotive bell in the background

The ninth picture is of some fat stranger who snuck in and spent the whole two days robbing the bheer fridge...'nuff said...

The tenth and eleventh pictures are of Young Ken Brunt, who seems to show up every year with a few cases of bheer, along with his good humour, and grand friendly nature.  (Ken is at the top of the "Visiting Crew seniority List", followed closely by Jan Golding, along with her "Friend" young Ric...)

The twelfth picture is another portrait of one of our GREAT OVGRS, Operating crew members, Steve McKenzie.

The last two pictures are of my friendly neighbours, Lorrain, and Mike Charlebois, along with their grandson

There you go, Dave; I hope that serves as a bit of help for those that wanted a bit of action from this old fart.

Your pictures are VERY much appreciated....THANK YOU.

      Fred,

I got tired of scrolling back and forth so I "moved" your comments to just below each picture.   Looks like another great Invasion!

(Still Ken, but sans hat - a VERY rare occurence)

another portrait of one of our GREAT OVGRS, Operating crew members, Steve McKenzie.

my friendly neighbours, Lorrain, and Mike Charlebois, along with their grandson (same for below)

(I suspect he looks unhappy because of no train?)

Today was spent at the Finger Lakes Live Steamers. Nice friendly group who opened their railroad up for us non members. Unfortunately it rained so most of the day was spent talking trains, not riding them.

A mill on the gauge I area

Some of those who made it:

      Ric's hand car:

      Ric's pride:

      And a short ride.

Never thought anyone would mistake me for Chris Lyons.  No wonder he's moving.  What a slam to Chris.

Hollywood, you claimed to have been there, but I see no evidence to support it in the form of your face in these photos hehehe
