Getting the Garden Ready for Open House

I’m doing open house for the Club in 3 weeks and for the public in 5 weeks and have basically finished the gardening getting ready to put the structures out. That won’t happen until after the 1st of June because of the potential Santa Ana winds that typically run from beginning of Oct until the beginning of June.

BTW, I’m just an old dude and everything you see was done and is maintained by me alone…, so no excuses.

Thanks, Todd. I was tired before I saw the pictures, now I’m exhausted!

Todd,

Beautiful work. Excellent manicuring on the shrubs. But I do have a question. . . How do trains get through this section of track with giant stepping stones in their way

Doesn’t seem like a practical design. . .(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Does not include the meteor strike and it’s facilities, the outdoor amphitheater and it’s facilities, the new diesel fueling facility, “Willie the Wonder Horse,” the “Low Rider Train,” or the Ernest and Julio Gallows and Dunk Tank, all added since this was done.

Looks great Todd

That’s an impressive layout

Wow, that is a very nice layout, Todd. Anytime you want to share more photos of it, just go ahead, I’ll force myself to look at them and dream (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif). Thanks for sharing.

I do love the BOX woods…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Devon those are not stepping stones, those are a fleet of UFO‘s that have invaded the Todd’s (Some will get that reference from “Scrubs” tv show) world and are about to release a horde of aliens to do train derailments and electrical and mechanical malfunctions on the day of his open house.

Todd you better spray for bugs to get rid of them! Hope the open house goes off with no problems!

Todd puts saucers over his points (switches, turnouts) to keep debris out of them when the railroad is inactive. Rest assured, he will relocate them when it comes time to run trains.

Well I figure that if you are going to “type” the “type”

Before you “hype” the “hype”

You better “walk” the “walk”

If you intend to “talk” the “talk”

Not really above anyones abilities. But you are looking at 22 years of effort. BTW, BION, I actually trim all of the trees in the same manner, but they grow differently giving each species its own look.
