New Layout!

Started my new Layout Yesterday… After 15 yrs of waiting from my first one (4 houses later) it is finally happening again!

Totally digging the approach and looks like a lot of fill…keep us posted on the progress please !

A lot of fill, and it will settle/compress over time. So there will be a second filling later on.

Most definitely will be. Tons Lol. We’re having a lot of concrete work done within the next couple weeks so that dirt will be my fill. Then we’ll see how much more dirt if any after.

Ill keep post on it for sure! I’m happy about how it looks… and the SIZE of it

Looks like a nice start to a fun layout. And yeah fill and refill. I am on the second year of mine and need to do a bunch of refilling. And I am sure this will continue for a few years. I did ladder track so at least when it settles the track stays put. Not sure what your plan is but may give it a consideration. My track is stay firmly in place which means the settling is really just cosmetic and does not require a lot of track re-work.

After a few weeks of pondering and watching the dirt (grass) settle I ordered up 7 yards of good dirt. Used about 5-6 on the layout. Other for fill around the concrete patio work. That was on the 27th. Now its looking like this… I’ll need more but for now I’m liking the way it’s going.
