I found myself in need of a set of roller stands so I could test the wiring on my shay redo which can be found HERE. Looking around the internet, the only ones I found were the Bachmanns and they were $60-$80 for a set of 4 and I needed 6. Not wanting to spend well over a $100 for something that I would only use occasionally, I decided I could make my own. I created the 3D model in Fusion 360 and 3D printed them on my Prusa printer. I already had the required bearings and hardware so in the end the 6 stand cost me about $5 in filament.

Very cool. It might be an optical illusion from the camera shutter, but is the drive line from the engine to the middle truck stalling once in a while?

Jon, that is the first thing I noticed too but it must be the camera because without the camera it looks fine. Thanks for catching that, though.

Dan, I like your design. You put more thought into yours and saved quite a bit of filament. The only complaint so far with mine is I wished they had some weight to them. I’ve thought about printing them and pausing the print just before the top solid layers start and filling the infill with lead shot. Not sure it is necessar, but they would feel better.

You could group each of the 3 pairs by making 2 or 3 holes in the bases and run some lag bolts through with nyloc nuts (long enough for some adjust ability)

You could glue them to the fire brick from the oven you’re not going to finish !
