ECLSTS

….I guess no-one cares…the 2019 ECLSTS is not even listed in the LSC “Coming Events” section…I know I could post it there, but I’d probably catch someone’s displeasure If I did…!!!..since I won’t be attending.

I would have thought that someone from York PA would show pride in promoting the show, as it’s in their home town…

Fred Mills

Give it a break Fred !

Fred

Perhaps you should PM Joe Zullo and get his phone number then you could ring him up and discuss your/you’re/ewe’re thoughts for a plan.

Then list that in the “Coming Events” section. I personally don’t know anyone that lives in York,PA but perhaps you do so enlighten us?

Of all the upcoming events that would be hard to miss or ignore, this would be the one. It would be nice if someone put it in the upcoming events, but I think pretty much everyone knows about it… heck I’ve never gone, all the way over here as far away as you can get and even I know about it.

Fred, you could have added it… or just a note that maybe someone could put it in the coming events, but you had to insult people for not doing it? That’s not the kind of positive promotion of the hobby we all want… right?

Greg

There its done… Stop your bitching. Took all of five minutes.

Coal all of you!

I don’t live in York, I live in Pittsburgh. But, I guess, technically, I work in (or out of) York. The employer address on my paychecks is a York address.

Coal would be most welcome, never seem to have any when I have a tender to fill !

Gee Gary, you need to hang around here for a while. bits of it seam to be laying around in various places.

seam? a coal seam? (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Greg, that was ore-ful.

Greg, well…not any that are exposed. But since coal was such a common item round here, its common round here. Most older homes around here still have a metal door on them, where coal was delivered through into a coal cellar for heating the home. Until recently, there was a home heating coal suppler down in 84, and there used to be one in Fairchance. But I haven’t been to Fairchance for several years, so I dunno if that one is still there.

I just put up event postings for our Thursday and Friday night events, like I did last year. If anyone sees an error or omission, please let me know.

I’m going over your postings and counting every rivet Cliff! (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Greg, if you’ve not done so already…

You might seriously consider travelling out here one year. So much RR stuff to see, like the just astounding PA RR museum, and down in Baltimore the wonderful B&O museum. That’s just scratching the surface. So maybe some year, take a week to get some of those highlights, meet up with some buddies, and cap it off with the show and the D&B. And more show.

But bring a sweater… it’s trending on the chilly side then.

Bring a wind breaker jacket at that time of the year. Wind will go right through a sweater!!

Thank you, Cliff.

I have a long “trench” coat, first visit to New York in the winter explained why you need something from your neck to your ankles.

It’s cold here too, I actually turned on the patio heater while smoking a cigar last night, of course I had a short sleeve shirt on, so maybe that was the problem.

I had written “parka,” but then didn’t want to put him off. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
