Large Scale Central

Finally a C-19

Has arrived on the railroad.

I could resist no longer and ordered a Bachmann C-19 and it arrived this afternoon. I got the painted, unlettered, long tender version and need information about how to fix, bash, slash, and maybe even crash it into an oil burner version.

Can someone point me to threads that can answer some of my questions??

No pictures the smoke is too thick

Rick

Rick, you’re gonna love’m. Both of mine have been my Go-To loco’s recently.

Can’t help ya with the oil burner stuff as mine are coal fired. Good luck with it.

Yep, love my C-19. Would like a couple more. They are my best running locomotive, and just the right size.

Congrats! Great loco!

Here’s mine:

More photos can be found on my blog.

Yea, I read that also last week. The vendor is Star Hobbies https://www.shopstarhobby.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1071_255_433

Go to the bottom of the first page, all three versions are available.

Ordered mine on the 17th and it arrived here in Fire Camp Oregon on the 24th in perfect condition.

Still need to locate some bashing threads to steal some ideas(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Yea, my RR budget for the year is mostly dried up. I’m hoping there are still some floating around at York. This past year they were selling for 495 at a couple places.

A US based trader I have used to buy a couple of locos in the past, who ships to the UK. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ana.kramer/m.html?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEFSXS%3AMESOI&_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2654 He has been selling the C-19 at the prices shown for quite some time

I have the Bachmann C-19. Love it as I do their K-27, Shay, Connie, etc’, etc’… and the Accucraft C-19, a live steamer.

Boy Ken that RGS #41 is a sharp looking loco…she looks right at home!! Dave

Rick - You will love the C-19. By far the best loco I own and my go-to for most operating. Bought off Anna Kramer (Al) on Ebay. Best price around. It’s the only one I travel with now. I didn’t do much cosmetically to mine, made a few extra flags and lettered it up. I spent most of my effort on the electronics. There is a thread on here somewhere (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)That big black thing under all the electronics is a speaker and enclosure salvaged from a sound bar…

And it not only looks good, it runs good.

it runs ‘Well’
