Large Scale Central

C. & H. C. R.R. loco 0-4-2T DAISY .

Hi,

I am searching for a line drawing of

the Baldwin Locomotive Works build number 7558 of the year 1885

http://www.mendorailhistory.org/imag…2/0-4-2_02.jpg

Caspar & Hare Creek Railroad locomotive 0-4-2T named DAISY .

Is there an online source for these Baldwin Locomotive Drawings ?

Some folks have access to these Baldwin Locomotive Works drawings.

From where do they obtain this information?

Thank you,

Norman

Now, back to the question, these would be good people to ask, http://www.pacificng.com/template.php?page=/ref/locobuilders/blw/style/stylediag/index3.htm

Try that…

You also might try “The RailRoad Museum of Pa” in Strassburg. They managed to acquire a lot of the records from the Baldwin Locomotive works after it shut down.

I love little locos like this. Good luck in your quest. I hope you are able to find what you need to build it.

I replied to Norman over on MLS, but here’s the gist of it for you guys:

A google search turned up lots of them and this thread "How Do I find Baldwin Drawings?":
https://www.trainorders.com/discussi…php?10,1651139

which includes a link to to the DeGolyer Library at Southern Methodist University, where I buy my copies of Baldwin drawings.

Hi guys,

Thank you all very much for your help.

I have a builder to whom I will forward the 0-4-2T drawings when I obtain them.

I like the design of the Ward Kimball CHLOE and the Australian Fairymead but the boiler diameter is too small for a really attractive locomotive.

The Casper Lumber Company No. 2 DAISY has the " just right " boiler diameter with a cab front the same as the C P Huntington. Just perfect.

I really do not like the front cab window arrangement on the Ward Kimball Chloe cab and the Australian Fairymead cab. But that is the prototype.

I dunno, but I still maintain that Bachmann should have stayed with 1:22.5 scale at the " wrong " track gauge.

The choice of 1:20.3 Scale at the exact 3 foot scaled track gauge more than likely eliminated a large portion of the Bachmann Customer Northern United States and Canada indoor layout Large Scale modelers.

My 0-4-2T Daisy will be built at the " wrong " scale of 1/24 as this is my favorite physical size of model.

The gauge error does not come to mind at all.

Gauge O with the third center rail is annoying though!

It would be great if Marklin would produce a Gauge O stud rail track in the same fashion as their Gauge Half O stud rail track.

I wonder why MTH or Lionel have not built Gauge O stud rail track?

Thanks again,

Norman
