Thanks again Vincent for bringing up the 2020 move, and Lou for your information on this year's dates, and other shows next year.

But back to 2019, is there still interest in organizing The Alcove once more, as a sort of last hurrah?

Let me break the topic down to the issues I'm aware of (and I'm sure there are others):

In general: Who's interested? Is it worth the trouble?

Arrangements: Is there someone who'll arrange permission, tables, chairs, and so forth? If not, I can try; but who would I talk to?

Timesaver: Lou volunteered to bring his, and I'll help set up & etc. Is that still a go, Lou? Ric, you're still not bringing yours, correct? If Yes and Yes, who's wanting to bring trains & controls?

Banner: The official one is floating about, but I"m not positive who has it. Who does, and will you bring it? Otherwise, can you ship it to me or someone who'll be there?

I'll be be there Thursday afternoon until Saturday afternoon, FWIW.

      Cheers,

      Cliff

We have too many other things planned, I cannot bring a mini-Timesaver.

I will be there Thursday to help PMGRRS set up.

Let me see if I can get ahold of Dan to get some tables and chairs so we can set up the Banner and Drag & Brag stuff.

      Lou

I guess we'll need some new signs for the ALCOVE.  Sorry, but all that is in storage in Carlyle, Illinois and we are coming straight from Florida.  The "Drag and Brag" is scheduled for the new dates in the Susquehanna Room and all this was verified by our BOD contacting me.  Be there or be  square.

I intend to be there. What does everyone want the young pastry cook to bring? Haha (Besides a loco or something similar....)

Gents I apologize to you all. I looked into duplicating the signage pictured in the Alcove use cheap paper signs at close to the same size. Price quoted was $185.00 which is just a bit steep for my blood.

You will need the cash if you go to the early bird get-together ( they will try to get the new kid to buy the first round )

Fun time in the hotel grille / bar area, chatting it up with large scale RR friends.

David, this place has (for example) a 2' x 8' vinyl banner for under $50:

I'd be willing to chip in, and arrange the printing if needed; but do you or Ric have the artwork?

BD may have the art work. I copied the two pics on page 7 in this thread and showed them that Cliff. So I'm good for an under $100.00 price tag and it can be paper if it's only 1-2 days use

Dave Marconi was once famous for his "Upside-down" pineapple cup cakes...but has lost his fame by never providing them again.

John;  you might like to contact him and get his description of them, and provide a dozen or more ...you might become the "Pastry King" of the show...!!

OK, I just sent off the request for tables and chairs in "The Alcove" as a representative of Large Scale Central as an Exhibitor. Will let you know if I get a response.

There will supposedly be a show car, but there is no word of a t-shirt yet. I'm glad I was able to snag a shirt last year. I really liked the graphics.
