      Stall Amp of USAT

I can't find the exact number for the motor blocks for the USAT stuff. I seem to recall that it was 5 amps? But part of me thinks it was as high as 6 amps?

Because of a not so super secret idea I have... And because I'm weird about it.

Pretty sure it's 5 amps.  In fact, I'll bet Roosters next paycheck on it.

First, it depends on your definition of "stall" current.

It's a misused and misunderstood term.

The pioneer in this area and the reason that NCE still sells an 8 amp decoder is here: http://www.girr.org/girr/tips/tips4/tractive_effort_tests.html

      It's there and worth reading.

More than that as a USA Geep 9 was pulling 5 amps when this consist stalled/derailed going into the tunnel. Tunnel clearances should ALWAYS be checked for Circus Trains! You should also check behind the toilet for poisonous spiders and AWAYS check for pens before putting clothes in the dryer.
