Fright on Both Loops

Unfortunately, the video of switching between the two loops didn’t turn out… But I had the 2015D pulling this long (for my layout) freight train around both the inner and outer loops.

That tanker car in the middle is one of the Hammond/Newqida cars. It was a Christmas gift. It’s pretty sturdy, has a middling amount of detail, and seems not to derail easily. On the downside, the painted graphics are pretty fuzzy and it has the typical Newqida gloss finish. But I’ll throw a coat of flat on it and get some new decals from Stan and it should be OK. For $25 it’s definitely not bad.

At the moment, the layout is pretty dreary. I need to get some leaves out of the pond and pull up some dead annuals. And the ground cover has had its winter dormancy long enough that it’s looking lifeless. But I want to get all the track issues sorted before the Spring running season starts. I’m planning to have two open houses… on in April and one in May.

Huh. Didn’t work.

I see it fine in Chrome. A bit of Deutschland in Kansas. Nice!

Nice layout, Dan!

Dan,

I do not believe Chrome has anything to do with why you see it and others don’t. I believe you are not logged into the secure LSC (https site).
