Communication changes

Hey folks

I’ve taken a new job, but it involves commuting into Boston, instead of working at home. Part of that means I will not have the time during the day to reply to emails, or fix things with your profiles, etc. I will try and get to them within a couple of days, but I really can’t guarantee I will have free time until the weekends. So, please, be patient until I figure out exactly what my schedule is going to be.

Bob:

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully everyone will behave while you adjust to the change. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Being recently retired, I do remember how stressful it is to start a new job. Hopefully the transition will be smooth, good luck.

Mark

Hope it all goes well…

Good luck, Bob. Don’t worry about us; we can take care of ourselves while you get adjusted.

Are you sure it is wise to leave us with no adult supervision during the day? We promise to behave… really…we do (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif). Thanks for all you do, Bob.

Good luck Bob. Starting a new job is always a bit uncomfortable.

I am not an adult, I just play one in real life.

Boston …oooo sorry to hear that …hope you find the right route for you (not soo stressful ) … Good luck there BOB ! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Commute is all on the train. We live about two miles from the Littleton stop, and the office is about 500 feet from North Station. Easy peasy.

THAT’s what I thought!

Still…best of luck Bob…

The most important part of this is: What Train are you taking? And will they let you drive?

Good Luck at the new job Bob

Good luck with the new venture Bob…try not to analyze that commuter train to much as it will not fit into your overall RR theme.

Great Bob … don’t they have WI-FI on the train … you could checkup on us to and back from work …

I still see those Amtrak cabbage cars… just sayin’.

Hey Bob I will wave to you from widow of my office as you get on at Littleton.

Good luck with the new job.

Commuting to Boston? You have my sympathy…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Good luck with the new job Bob. It’s tough to adjust once you get into that working-from-home mode. I did it for 5 years, going in to the office two days a week, but that ended 15 years ago. At least my commute is only 20 minutes on mostly country roads. I hope you can use the train to maintain your sanity.

I went to college in Boston and it takes a special kind of person to drive there (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

Starting a new gig is always exciting.

My daughter has a similar commute via train, from Auburn, WA, to the U of Washington in Seattle. It’s a two mile drive to the station in Auburn, and the station at the “U of Dub” is a short walk from her lab. She says the 45 minute ride is relaxing, but she hated it during the final months of two pregnancies. That will likely not be a problem for you. Congratulations Bob, thanks for all your work on probably the best LS forum

Congratulations Bob.

We will try to behave while you are working! No guarantees though!
