      2018 Mik's Challenge Doug's Place

It's time to make a decision about what I am doing.

Now that the Dirty and Dusty Railway is moving indoors the layout will stay a lot cleaner but it still needs buildings.

My switching layout needs Doug's Place.

         But what is Doug's Place?

Freight trains need a place to deliver goods and that is what this  project is all about.

My paper towel drawing will be coming when I finish putting the framework together for the new Dusty and Dusty Railway.

I drew my Challenge on a paper towel today. Now lets see if it will load from my Mac!

      Hi John

That's about 20 percent of the drawing!I made the drawing about 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall but that isn't the size it came out! The newest version is in the text one before yours!

For some reason you only got to see about 20 percent. Here's the latest version!

Thanks for posting my paper towel drawing John! I hope I can figure out why drawings and pictures aren't posting! As Doug's Place starts to come together everyone will get a much better idea what I am doing!

I am already thinking about altering my design! We shall see!

The key for posting pics is to tell one page where the pic exists on another page. I open the pic and then I capture the location and paste that into the box on the page with the post...

When I click on Freight Shed it opens a new tab/page, so it's back and forth between pages to add pics.

Of course you are welcome, once you 'get it' it won't seem anything more than 'fussy'

After my dad passed I disassembled his greenhouse and brought the wood home. That was 25 years ago and I still use the redwood for building.

       I ran some of the 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 27
" prime wood through the planer yesterday to prepare it for the Challenge. I will sure be upset when this supply runs out!

I will sure be a lot happier when I can insert pictures. This is the location of the picture in my Freight Shed. I did everything the way others do. Too bad it doesn't work!

John's posting is what that redwood looks like!

I do have a couple thoughts that I am going to play with. It showed up in my Fright Shed after I reduced the size.It worked for you but the size looks bigger. I do wonder about the internet speed. We are getting lousy service from Verizon but there was no choice for us. Another company got a big grant from the state to give us high speed service. When the get that running I suspect our problems will suddenly go away!

Doug, your trying to post the page the image is on. All you need is the image address:

There are two things to do when you are using a tool. Read the directions and pay attention to the directions!

I have a problem with my HP pin nailer.

The directions said NOT to use a 1" pin. But I needed one. It loaded fine but when I shot it I found out I should have paid attention to the directions!

The pin is stuck in the nailer!

How do I get it out?

Take out the screws in the front of the gun. The plates come off and you'll see the pin crinkled up ... needle nose pliers will help

I got too good at that until I swore off Harbor Freight pins...

Thank you John. Actually I have never had any HP pins jam until I didn't follow the directions. But I won't be buying more!
