      Shane,

Your video was incorrectly embedded. It only showed as a picture. I embedded a working version for you.

BTW nice video! Do you have any problems with folks stepping on your track?

Thanks Joe. I guess I should have made sure it worked after I posted it.

No one has stepped on it yet, but this magnificent railroad has only been in operation 24 hours. Would you believe I've been collecting track and rolling stock for 30 years, and this is the first time I have run a train. This spring I'll have to focus on laying some track in the back yard.

Thanks guys. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the tour of my house...I mean layout. If anyone needs tips on how I built the tunnel in the dining room, just let me know.

Eric, yes I ended up going with battery power and Revolution controls. I currently have three locomotives set up to run.

John, I love your videos. Hopefully I can build up my yard and equipment to look as good as yours. Your weathering is great.

      Thanks Guys.

Next step is the lighting. I want to go with all LED. I'll need head lights, ditch lights, number board lights, ground and step lights. I need to find a nice warm white LED.

If anyone has any tips, please feel free to share.

I've always wanted to add step lights to my models. Now with Surface mounted LED's it should be a lot easier.  What no lighted class lights? ;)

The light in the tunnel might not be an engine , but a light in the caboose of my own train on my Roundy Round Rail Road !    My empire is complete...I think...

      Shane / Craig,

I get my LEDs and SMDs from a place called HDA Modelworx  http://hdamodelworx.com/   They are better quality than the e-bay ones and are usually prewired and come with resistors for 12v operation.  You can find some super small SMDs that would be useful for step and truck lights.

Recently bought some nice warm white led's from this guy in Canada. http://www.kentsoftware.com/led/

Old battery but as you can see.  Nice warm white.  No blue!!
