That's great news Tom... speaks volumes for the product.

I have not used mine yet, but I assume it uses the same user interface... and loco id's 1-99 and cabs that have one or more locos assigned, can you verify?

Have you accessory decoders yet? With a 5 amp capability, it appears you could drive multiple decoders if you did not try "service mode"

      Greg

There are 25 cabs for locos and 25 cabs for accessory decoders in each memory bank. There 100 memory banks.

That means there can be 2500 locos and 2500 accessory decoders stored on each TX.

You can do multiple accessory decoders. If they need more than 5 amps, you can use multiple RX/Boosters and

transmit to multiple receivers at the same time. I had 4 receivers hooked up and it would transmit to them all.

I have not done much with accessory decoders. The only ones I have are Arduino ones built from articles in MRH.

Between shopping, cooking, doing dishes, cleaning, laundry, yard work, taking care of the dogs & cat and and and and,

there are not enough hours in the day.

I don't have to worry about that. I will never retire.

Again, thanks Tom for the information.

Can you operate 2 locos from 2 different memory banks in the same TX at the same time?

Sort of the same question, can you have a cab with 2 locos from different memory banks?

I'm guessing that the memory banks are more like a "mode", you operate everything from the current bank, both loco id's and cabs, but sure would like to know.

      Regards, Greg

I guess I had not thought about doing that. I was going to start by using a memory bank for different scales.

I would use one for HO, one for On30 and one for G. I don't think I would run out of cab #s. You never know.

I'm sure other people might run out of cab #s. I will have to try it if I get some time.

At a cab per loco most times, I would run out of cabs... so that's why I asked about going "across memory banks".

This should be of some help with any information that you may need.

      GAP,

Hi, and thank you for the response.  I have been to their site, and downloaded their manual for review/education.  I was looking for real world experience from people who may be using their DCC system.

I don't think they changed it since the thread started!

      Pete,

I used a poor choice of words there.

I should have asked; are any forum members using the Revo DCC and what DCC boards are you controlling with it?  would you reccomend it to a new G gauger with a simple layout and short locomotive roster??

      Thank you,

      George

Ah. A fundamental misunderstanding: the Revolution is a complete DCC system. You just wire it in and away you go. Or that's my understanding; no extras required. On your C-19 an adaptor board for the pnp in the tender may help?

QUOTE: On your C-19 an adaptor board for the pnp in the tender may help?

      Pete,

This from the advertising on the C19:

      * advanced nonproprietary plug-and-play electronic printed circuit board to accommodate the control systems of your choice, including DC power, NMRA/NEM DCC, and/or RC operation
      * choose track or battery power pickup, operation according to NMRA or Large Scale railroading practices, and motor power on/off
      * choose either DCC or DC operation of the smoke unit, cab lights, realistic firebox flicker and ash pan glow, and classification lights
      * two optical sensors, one in each cylinder, give you the option of adjusting the timing and count of steam chuffs
      * factory-installed speaker, with wire pigtail, for easy installation of optional aftermarket sound system

It got delivered on Thursday, but I am not home to read the book yet. I am hoping this means that any DCC boards should PNP.

      Thank you,

      George
