      Some not-so-good pics

Lost my camera ages ago.  Got to mucking around with my $5 cellphone over the past couple of days and discovered that it could

      A) take pictures, and

      B) send said pictures to my email account

(usually, the phone lives in my work truck, gets maybe one call a week)

I also blundered across something called 'Flickr.'  As a sort of test or experiment, I took pictures of several structures on my indoor layout and put them on that site.  They're not especially great (lighting issues, mostly), but here you go:

      hello,

      ---------------

      Hi, Korm.

You might remember me from MLS.

      Anyhow...

the structures come from a variety of sources.

'Bachmann' gets it's name because all it's buildings, save the (Pola) Church are from Bachmann.  These are pressboard push out kits, made back in the 90's, that turn up on EBAY now and again, usually for around $35 -$40.  They are 1/24, but ridiculously undersized, even the largest works out to something like 12x18 feet. They come with lights but no interior details.  I have picked up maybe a dozen of them. Kits include:

1 - General Store (two floors, has a oddball entryway)

2 - Hotel (three stories, ludicrously narrow - joined two of them side by side to make it look not quite so absurd...oh, no pics of that one)

3 - Townhouse (three floors counting an attic, very narrow. Brick front, wood sides.  I assembled these pretty much by the instructions...hmm...no pics of those either)

4 - Toy Shop (rarest of the bunch. two floors, brick. I have just one. Its on the far left of the buildings in the town shot.)

5 - Ice Cream Parlor (only single story kit, I converted mine into diners)

6 - Firehouse (two floors, brick. I combined two to make a garage in Bachmann, and parts of two others for a courthouse/town hall.  Both are visible in the Bachmann town shot, the garage is the one with the table out front.)

Apart from a couple of Pola kits and some wooden European (?) style facades of uncertain origin (not in the pics), most of the rest come from this site:

      http://www.coloradomodel.com/

(Prices are very reasonable, usually under $30-$35, and I believe they ship international)

The facades in the photo's are made from individual wall sections sold by that company.  The 'Big Bargain Company' and the 'Monastery' are opposite sides of a double sided façade.  The bungalow (interior) is actually their 'Cascade Summit Dispatch House.'

The interior detail stuff comes from a wide range of places: Bachmann, Darice, dollhouse stuff, and others.

Maybe I should take more pictures?

      thanks, Thinker.

can't remember to have seen them before.

but they seem just right for us indoors tycoons.

What is this women selling in that store?

      Probably trouble.

Inspiration for her came from way back in my younger days when I delivered pizza for a living.  I'd get back from a delivery, and the attractive female teenage staff would ask 'was he cute? did he look like he had money?'

Well, if you must know, she came as part of this set:

      https://web4.hobbylinc.com/icon2/psr/psr45112.jpg

(Got lucky on EBAY, paid about half the listed price)

To me, that outfit just screamed 'waitress,' and the pose reminded me of the way the girls behaved in the pizza joint.

I'll have to see about appropriate spots for the other three...

"...What is this women selling in that store?.."

If it was real world .... just looks like the 'shooter'  caught  a somewhat compromising pose,  a shot of a young lady swinging her (nice long) legs over the bench seat ... and the 'shooter' did not have the decency to delete,  but instead kept to share on questionable 'web sites !     )~
