Soda Can Cable Car

A friend in Australia sends me a copy of The Garden Whistle magazine each month via email. The Garden Whistle is a New Zealand garden railway magazine. In this month’s issue there is a store bought item that uses an empty soda can, supplied by the buyer, to mimic the gondola.

Interesting! Hmm, wonder how long it would last after my cat noticed it …?

Thinking Halloween upcoming - thinking would make for a good ghost to run across the yard. Then I can re-purpose to the trains. That’s how I will sell it to the wife

Ah ha! Using the back door approach. I like it.

We bought two of them and had them running back and forth across the living room yesterday. My husband thinks they’re the neatest thing since sliced bread. They’ll probably see service in our home layout for Halloween (great idea on the flying ghost Steve - totally gonna steal that) and we have a small, very light sleigh that’s going to go across our train club’s holiday layout.
