So sorry to see you go, Dave....  I can certainly understand, though.

Thanks so very much for what you've contributed to the hobby.....

Best to you and 'enjoy, enjoy...' Even the PAZ is slowly coming to an 'end-of-operations...'

Too many aches & pains resulting in a backlog of projects!  Years ago the '79 MGB was the 1st to go; then the "all original '80 El Camino".

Couger sounds awesome, barber shop owner had one as his favorite aswell.

So far, I'm hanging on to the two 50 Fords (Tudor and F-1) and the MK2 Jag. The Jag keeps the grey cells jumping...it's RHD.

      Dave

Are you going to create a website like  George Schreyer  , with your knowledge ?

Nope. No websites planned. However, I do pass along data, sometimes entire files, to a good friend (who sometimes even visits this forum), who places such data on his website.

Well David, good luck with your next retirement. Hate to see you go, but all good things usually come to an end. In the words of Mr. Spock:"Live long and prosper!".................

There's a number of "TOC TIPS" on my site, and of course he is properly credited.

(you can search for "Goodson" on my site to find tips and information from Dave)

Well Dave...your post answers my question why I haven't heard a reply to my email.  You got me started in the whole RC part of garden railroading with three Thomas engines and two Bachmann Spectrum...I'd be dead meat trying to get that all working if you hadn't been the help this novice needed.

And I remember talking to you on the phone about your frustrations with manufacturers...can't understand how business can be so good for some they don't feel the need to follow through to the seller or the buyer with any kind of quality.  But I completely understand the need to retire and do a way with the stress this all has.

I appreciate the past 10 years I've been doing this with gleaning from your vast knowledge and background. A big reason for staying this hobby.  But now I have to figure out what to do with this Bachmann 2-truck shay...if you have any suggestions and are not 100% retired just yet...I'd appreciate an email...hint! hint!!

      Richard

I remember you and I have discussed some specifics on this via phone.

I have been avoiding e-mail and phone for a bit while waiting to see what happened.

I have grown weary of passing along the information that I have been given like "parts will ship Monday".

      That information never included year.

Now that I know what the plan is (there is no plan, apparently), I know I can not service those who depended upon those parts.

I'll go look for your e-mail, see if I have an answer for you.
