Scratch GE ES44AC build

I’ve been working on another engine. I have been posting photos all along in my scratch build album. I was going to do it here as each step progressed. I got hung up for awhile with some old resin that wouldn’t co-operate. I enjoy the scratch build CN SD60F build more than my own!

Joe, that’s not fair. How am I going to learn all of your building tricks if you don’t have a detailed build thread. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

HOLY *%$@. That is impressive! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Quite impressive Joe. But I have to agree with Shane, Its hard for us to steal … uh… I mean … um … learn from you if we don’t have a build thread (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)Thanks for sharing.

For more precise and better quality copying, please see the Rooster’s Amtrak thread. That’s where the talent is!

Thanks for the extra photos Joe. I see we share a good friend named Tape. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

OK, raining again and I’m bored. So I did a little bit more. I cut stuff up for the inter cooler thinger.

I made a plate to fit the hole, cut in 2 circles. Then I attached a piece of fine mesh screen. Filed it to fit.Â

I made a pair of fans for looks too. I will mount them to a scrap bar of plastic.

I like the fans. But I didn’t know you needed to build your own cheering section.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

It’s an ego thing Dave. Also, I don’t want to get the bad reputation again. I had from others before getting help from my friends here to fix it.

So I keep my friends close!

Please Explain?

Well that’s to David Marconi’s post above, about having a cheering section!

Maybe he didn’t see that I got bashed down to having a bad rep?

I seem to remember you helped fix that.

So now I have 2, maybe 3 friends here? I’m losing count. Never had so many in one place!

Awh. I’m getting all flush…

& I consider you da boss of that group Sir!

where’s the bowing emoti?? thing??

Joe I try not to commit those days to memory as that is just more wasted space. I didn’t bash you then or now and simply let you know there is interest in your build. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

It’s all good.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Wow, nice work!
