Large Scale Central

2016/2017 Winter Photography

I know the calendar says winter starts December 21 but the meteorological winter started Dec 1. I took these shots in the last week or so.

Just wonderful shots! Love the evening snow ones.

54 here today, heading for 19 by Thursday…

Kewl pix, man, can’t see the pull string in any ov’em…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I see your crew just chilling by the fire barrel. Great pics.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

Thanks for the pics, that’s as close to that white stuff as I need to be!

I like the last shot best, twin ribbons in the snow.

John

S’posed to get down to 2 F tonight, here in beautiful Deer Park, at 2631 ft ASL. The layout is snugged in for the winter, there is a fire in the stove, I have hot chocolate in a mug, with a little something-something in it, and I’m not going outside for no one.

Yet, I do enjoy all y’alls pics. Keep them coming.

Nice pics Shawn. I do like the loco above, you’ve had that most of your time here.

Ken, and you others who like to play ‘Where’s the pull string’, look just to the outside of the track below the corner of the pilot step. He missed a bit of it (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Wow …just amazing !

I want to know why the boys “Diesel” is not in your pictures? Perhaps you are just being a self centered SOB or maybe you just forgot to add them? I know I have at least one of the “Diesel” and will post it if necessary! However I will give you the benefit of the doubt thinking that you just forgot to post “THE BOYS DIESEL” in the snow! Or maybe it’s something deeper Shawn?

You know Rooster I have to save the best for last.

Great pics, cute girl, your son must be very happy with his new gift. if you squint just right you can see a little steam coming out of it.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

As good as that looks on the line, once you put it in service it should be loaded with passengers.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Under that small hump in front of the bush is a tanker. behind that is a flat and a reefer. Somewhere else is another flat and a caboose. All abandoned out on the line by the IR&I crew.

Come on Ken. We want to see your beautiful layout in the snow with that plow (you never sent me) clearing the line.

Hopefully if we’re all lucky there won’t be any snow on the layout to see…or plow…it can stay up your way and I’ll watch your videos down here by the woodstove…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
