Coal tender conversion to oil

Anyone have a link or two for converting a BM coal tender to something that looks like an oil version?

Fred Mills has converted some of his Annies to oil.

oil fired Annie

He should be able to give you ideas on how he did when he signs in.

If not send him an e-mail to wake him up from his winter hibernation.

All his fair weather friends have left since the railway has closed down.

With a few of my Bachmann engines they came with a cover for the coal load that turns the engine into a oil burner.

Could you make a cover for yours and a hatch?

The oil tank in the locomotive on the Texas State Railroad just sat in the coal bunker. It was a custom tank, and it looked like it could be lifted out of the bunker and the bunker used for coal again.

Here are a few pictures of a conversion to an Annie tender that I did way long time ago. I was up grading the entire locomotive to 1:20 scale and mounting all the on board stuff; batteries, sound, speaker, Airwire in the converted tender.

Maybe there is some ideas here you can use.

Good top down photo on the last one.

This is what I was trying to explain, but I didn’t do so well. An oil tank that just sits in the coal bunker,
