ER&I Boxcab

The ER&I purchased a boxcab from the D&RGW and put it to use right away. Taking the hoe up to camp and bringing back some fire wood in the gon.

Never mind, I can’t embed the video.

I can…

Ken,

You’re late and mine’s bigger! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

They all say that…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Thanks, guys!

How do you do it?

Step by step using a Mac with Safari.

I tried using: http://www.largescalecentral.com/forums/topic/24780/you-tube-video-embedding-instructions and no go.

I have W10 so all I can do is tell you how I do it.

Under the video on Youtube, I click on “Share” and copy that URL and paste it in the Video box.

Switched to Chrome and messed around a little. Got it to work.

No stopping me now.!

Ken,

What you posted will not embed a YouTube video here.

With Windows, this is what you need to do…

This topic has to be re-mastered every time the site owner makes an upgrade to the software. For this incarnation the procedure is…

  • Grab the embed code from the YouTube video (directly on the video): right click in OPERA (copy embed code); right click in FireFox (Copy embed code); right click in Chrome (get embed code);right click in IE (get embed code).
  • In the reply window click on “insert/edit video” button in the top row (looks like a movie frame), and select “Embed”.
  • Paste the embed code (copied from YouTube) in the box and click “OK”.

That’s what we all found works now. Some day down the road we will have to find a new way for new software, but for now this works. Have fun!

I do not use a MAC, but I do use an iPad and iPhone, so I will see what can be done with Apple products. If anyone has already mastered this on a Mac, please chime in.

Testing by streching it out on win. 10 stuff… ok works…

Orignal copy.

Nice videos… done test like Joe Z. did.

wow cool

Very, very nicely done, John… Very nicely done… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Looks and sounds great! I can’t believe I’m saying that about a diesel, but considering 4 of my past 5 projects have been diesels, they’re growing on me.

Later,

K

Like the whole train John! It’s neat to have watched a few of these projects come to life on your workbench, And now we get to see a very elegant train go by, doing what it was built for. The sound from the box cab is very nice. Two thumbs up!

Yea, a fungus will do that. But I have the same fungus here too. But I do have a a few steam projects lurking on the project list to try and redeem myself to the steam gods.

Aside from D&RGW #50, all I have are 3 Bachmann center cab dismals in my entire collection… All three have been hacked up, like that box cab, which started out as a center cab dismal. I have nothing against Fs, Ps, Gps, etc. I even had a few over time.
