This is a pic of the conversion to ballast/aggregate hopper made from an Aristo 2-bay coal hopper. I cut down a Bachmann coal load (1:22.5) which I had spare. I have now done two cars. I considered repainting them grey or bauxite but at present will leave them black as the original Aristo coal load can be quickly fitted. I am pleased with the end result and, if I can get another Bachman coal load may do a third car. I will still have six Aristo 2-bay coal hoppers, five Bachmann 1:22.5 and two 100T Aristo cars, wit loads, so I have plenty of cars to haul coal.
