I have a question for USA TRAINS NS GP38-2 owners. Does it come with dynamic brake blister and no dynamic brake parts like Aristocraft GP40 ? Or do one have to order the dynamic brake blister part from USA TRAINS ? Thanks.
Phillipe, first of all, welcome to LSC.
From looking at USAT’s web site, it appears that the Norfolk Southern GP 38-2 only comes without the dynamic brake blister. I don’t know if NS used dynamic braking on their GP38-2’s. Others might know.
You can order a dynamic blister from USAT here: http://www.usatrains.com/r22200parts.html. Be sure to specify color. You might consider getting no color so you can match the black on your geep.

thank you very much for the warm welcome and for your answer. Sad USA TRAINS didn’t do like Aristo did with both parts included to let you choose.
Yes, NS use GP38-2 with dynamic blister as far as I can see on Railpictures.net. That’s why I was asking. So I know I will have to order the blister separately. Still have to find someone who build custom parts to made it with a high nose.

Philippe, Mark Dashnaw, here on LSC has 3D printed several diesels. I think he has done, or he could do, a high nose for your Geep.
