Posting multiple photos in one post

Is it me or is anyone else having issues posting multiple photos in a single post at the same time. Everytime I want to include more than one photo, I have to add the first one, post the reply and then edit it to add additional photos. Each additional photo must also be added one at a time. I have tried it on multiple PCs and multiple browsers with the same result.

If that is just the way it has to be done, so be it. No problem. But it is a pain sometime. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help.

I’ve never encountered that. I imagine the area where you get snagged is moving the cursor to position the next one. After the pic shows up, you need to click Enter to move it below the pic.

I have found it easier to do by going full screen (click on the 4 arrows icon). Now the pic at 800 pixies wide won’t fill the box and you can see the little vertical line cursor.

Once done you need to reduce the editor to the original size to see a send button. When you click on the 4 ->s you go to the top of the thread (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif), scroll down and your post appears ready to send (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif).

I hope this helps,

John

PS Clicking ‘Backspace’ will erase the pic… handy to know when you get the order wrong…

I don’t see a problem…

Yea, you just have to make sure you get your curser down below the first picture. I usually have to double click to do that. But Enter works too.

I have no problem getting the photos in the post like I need them, its when I hit post that’s the problem. Once I get the reply ready to go and click “Post Reply” the screen goes white for a second or two and then just returns to the original thread and posts nothing. If I only add a single photo everything works good. Its quite frustrating to prepare a long post with multiple photos and hit the post button to see it disappear. I’ve resorted to typing everything in MS Word and just copy and paste so when it does this, I don’t have to remember what I wanted to say.

Thanks for everyone’s input. Apparently its just something quirky on my end.

What browser are you using? Do you have the option of trying a different one?

I primarily use Windows Edge in W10 but I’ve tried Mozilla and Chrome. Now the common denominator in all the browsers and PCs is W10. Couldn’t be an issue with a Windows product though!!(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)

I’m running Firefox on W10. No issues putting multiple pics in a post during the initial post. Each one has to be inserted one at a time, but before hitting the Post button.

Update: I uninstalled Chrome tonight and downloaded and installed the latest version. It seems to work as it is supposed to. I made a post that included multiple photos with no issues. So I now have a new browser, at least for this forum.

Thanks for all the help and feedback.

Do the same for your Firefox… after a number of updates, Firefox goes screwy, so save your bookmarks, uninstall it, clean and then reinstall.

Greg

Thanks Greg, will do.

Chrome and Firefox play nice here. Also remember to keep your browser clean, only hit “post reply” once and be patient while it loads.

Keep my browser clean? What? I have to give it a bath? That sounds risky.

Use a file/registry cleaner, like CCleaner, find on download.com or filehippo.com.

Greg, I am hesitant to use cleaners. The last time I used one, it blew out a file and Microsoft office never worked again.

David, the wrong “cleaner” can destroy your computer, really. It sucks. But CCleaner works, is safe, and free. I’ve used it for a long time with no problems whatsoever. My son told me about it originally and he knows a lot about this kind of stuff. I’d go directly to their website to get it to avoid third-party problems. It’s made by Piriform. You can go to https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner.

C Cleaner, which I keep calling CC Cleaner in speech, is pretty decent, it lets you tune what you want it to dump or not. And is set up to give you a report, “analyze” on what it would dump when you run it before you run it.

That’s funny. I always call it Cee Cee Clearner too!

The really funny thing is for those of use who have used it for a REALLY long time remember the original name.

It’s original name was Crap Cleaner… anyone else out there use it that long?

(Hint, before 2007)

Crap Cleaner it will always be! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
