I come here to get away from it. So thanks.
I hesitated to post when this first came up. I figured Bob’s post was enough. I thanked him for reigning in the spew. I do not who was banned, I hope it wasn’t anyone I know. But yes, this is a large scale train site, hence the website name, and as such is not the place for topics that will start arguments that are not train related.
My job is customer service. There are topics that I do not discuss with my customers. If they bring the topic up, I just get quiet and let them rave on. Politics, certain current events and religion are topics that are sure to lead to an argument sooner or later.
Thanks again Bob for policing the site. I know that your time could be better spent doing other things, but we, your supporters, appreciate you taking the time and effort to run the site as well as it can be run.
i think, a healthy interest in politics and debates or discussions about politics are necessary for people to live a democratic life.

Yeah, we’ll be having our annual family 3way argument after turkey, we never agree and much animosity between members always happens and we never end up changing the others already entrenched beliefs.
BTW the row is always over which is better, Star Trek v Star Wars v Doctor Who. I’m holding up the Federation end of the argument
