SP&S in Its Final Days of Steam-Color Images

Newly discovered color images of the Spokane Portland & Seattle Ry Co in its final days of steam. Beautiful images, from Kodachrome, most likely.

Steve: Those are great, I didn’t know SP&S had that much LARGE Steam! Thank You. Paul

Same here, some great stuff!

Thanks, Greg

Lots more in that posters other albums as well. Thanks for the distraction.

Steve, you need to make 910! Should keep you busy for awhile.

Jerry, I think that MTH already did that, but thanks for the vote of confidence.

Great stuff, Steve. F.

Steve, I know MTH did one, I have one. I meant you to get one and put in the changes it had and the number. Sure don’t see any MTH Challengers that dirty!

I’ll get right on that, Jerry. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-money-mouth.gif)

I need to thin the herd, anyway. I’ve got some low mileage BNSF Dash 9s. Any interest?

Thank you a gazillion times!!! I’m a HUGE fan of the SP&S, but then, spending many hours admiring #700 in all seasons, static and running, will do that to you.

I have the H0 scale Sunset Hobbies DCC model too, and twelve cars to suit, and, and…lots of SP&S stuff!

Needless to say, when Aster announced that they were going to build a Gauge 1 Northern from the West Coast, my ears pricked up, only to feel them fall flat when they said it was going to be the GN S2. Stuffed and mounted on its plinth somewhere back east, it’s as appealing to me as a six-week-old banana pie. #700 RUNS!!! The S2 don’t.

What’s a BNSF Dash 9? Is that some newfangled kinda locomotive thingey? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Don’t worry about it, David. Nothing to see here. Move along. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Awesome! I love big brutish locos like that. Especially like the way they had to hang all the pumps and plumbing, etc wherever they could find room for it.

Very cool pics!
