When inset using sorse box nothing showing using firefox?

From Sparky…

Using Firefox, go to YouTube video and right click directly on the video.
Top selection will be “Copy Video URL”. Left click on that selection.
In your post, select “insert/edit video”.
Paste the url in the “Source” box. Click OK
A grayed out box will appear in the post, but that is ok.
Select “Preview” and verify the YouTube video is appearing in the preview mode.
Now Click on “Post Reply”.
This is how it is working for us now.

It dose show up gray photo and we see the video in the preview but won’t show up on post after save changes? Just not sending to Bobs format from us i guess?

Still working exactly as I wrote…for a new post. HJ mentioned that there was a problem with editing. Try inserting one of your videos in a fresh post (not editing an existing post).

Here is an attempt for one of my videos. The Big EYE in the tool bar is the “preview” button.

How about Vimeo. Right Click doesn’t work there, this thest using the Video URL from the Share button…

Seems to work just fine. - BUT If you EDIT the post - the video wll be lost. Re-insterting does not seem to work. I’ve seen others mention this too.

I mentioned earlier that editing the post will nuke the embeding code. A bit of a pain, but at least the embeding works. I think this is also linked somehow to the inability to have special or html escape characters in strings… probably an overactive “policing” routine in the editor…

I’ll play around a bit, but I can see that it can be done, and that’s good enough right now for me.
