It was a great weekend and a great end to a great year of outdoor operations.

If I can remember it correctly, we started the year with Nashville being just an extension of the diamond at Woodlawn.  By the end of the season, not only is Nashville complete and operational like the real Nashville, Illinois on the Evansville Western, but the long siding between Addieville and Okawville, Illinois is modeled past the town of Nashville and Addieville is becoming a reality in the future.

The long yard representing the two destination, Memphis, Tn. and Evansville, In. now has a 3 track yard attached, plus engine facilities and a switching lead that doesn't block through train operations.  This allows a main to be kept free, while inbound and outbound trains can be made up or sorted by a yard crew.

The town of Overlook, only existed in Andy's head at the start of this year and now it is a full blown switching puzzle that will challenge switching crews as much as the Industrial Park Local at Bluefield does.

The Caboose Pavilion and future Dispatching Shack was not roofed and was not sided, that has all happened. Extra rivets and some windows, plus interior detail still needs to be completed.

The Golf Cart Shuttle didn't exist.

The Upper Shelf Fiddle Yard in the basement town of Bluefield Yards was not established.

The deck on the back of the house was an inch and a half higher and didn't drain well and the grass and vegitation wasn't as nearly as lush and the water kept moving things down the hillside from all directions, it seems.

Jane and Andy have done a lot, this year and still manage to meet us most weeks for dinner out and a scheduled Ops Session on Mark Godwin's HO Illinois terminal empire. Plus got to York in the Spring, Canada and Boston in the summer and set up the Gateway Garden Railroad Club at train shows, plus attend monthly club meetings and additional Board Meetings.

Sean, no....    However, am planning on a grain rail-barge loading facility in the future...
