How far?

Trying to get a little exposure, I have some odometers available at ebay.

I have 6 of these ready to ship.

Looks good. Good luck with them.

I’d think that a speedometer would be more useful… what about a peak hold reading? Then someone could run the train at a set speed and stop it and see what they were running at?

I use a wireless speedometer from Dave Bodnar, really is nice to know how fast you are actually running.

Hmm. I have some more program space. Maybe could show the speed under the scale.

Yea, a wireless one would be REALLY cool.

I have a unit that displays speed, it takes a hardwired input from a “hoop” that sits over the tracks, or a wireless unit in a hopper car, with an encoder on the axle… for a little extra, the voltage is also sent back, so I can see areas of low voltage.

Greg

8532 MPH What a train!

Must have the math wrong. Let’s see, ms * CF / bla bla bla

Maybe that is one of those hypersonic trans continent trains. going for LA to Paris in 30 minutes

Dan

LA to Paris would be a like 90 minutes.

And now I have the math correct and it shows the right speed.
