Large Scale Central

Planning my next 7/8ths scale figure

I’m really liking working in 7/8ths scale. Much easier to get detail in to a figure in that scale. I’ve been admiring the work of Rob Bennet and Carlo Spiro and decided that I wanted to try my hand at doing a caricature. I’ve also been following a few threads on the 7/8ths forum especially the on on articulated figures. There is a tailor on that thread who makes clothing for her 7/8ths scale figures. Really great looking stuff. So I decided to try my hand at that too. So I came up with this preliminary sketch of my first figure. Note the dashed lines at the shoulders and the hips; those designated the joints. I will be doing a primitive articulated figure that can be assembled right into his clothing.

Finished the figure. Now I have to make the hat and the overalls.

Looks good Richard. Waiting on the clothes

He does look good…give him a beer belly and he could pass for a few around here.

How about a dog instead?

Added a pig

I like that sad hound

Both figures are impressive!
